سقوط قمر صناعي أوروبي على الأرض.. هذا مكان وقوعه

سقط القمر الصناعي الأوروبي للاستشعار عن بعد ERS-2، التابع لوكالة الفضاء الأوروبية، على كوكب الأرض الأربعاء، بعد خدمة استمرت نحو 30 عاما في الفضاء.

تم إطلاق ERS-2 في عام 1995، وكان القمر الصناعي الشقيق ERS-1 قد تم إطلاقه قبله بأربع سنوات.

عندما تم إطلاقهما، كان ERS-1 وERS-2 هما أكثر قمرين صناعيين لمراقبة الأرض تطورا على الإطلاق. وفي عام 2011، تقاعد ERS-2 وبدأت عملية الخروج من المدار.

وأعلن مركز عمليات وكالة الفضاء الأوروبية عن عودة القمر إلى الغلاف الجوي مساء الأربعاء، وسقط فوق شمال المحيط الهادئ بين ألاسكا وهاواي، بحسب المركز.
